Mauricio González


Mauricio has more than 7 years’ experience in consultancy, advising clients in the mining, energy, financial and public sectors on making initial public offers, establishing social goals and awareness for projects that affect local communities, collective work agreements and political campaigns.

He has carried out regulatory and socio-political analyses related to the purchase of blocks in the Colombian Rounds of 2012 and 2014 for companies in the mining and energy sectors, took part in the implementation of the IDB’s regional citizen security strategy enhancing its scope and viability in partnership with local governments, and has helped to increase social impact and awareness within different mining and energy projects in association with local communities and authorities.

He has a degree in Economics from the Universidad de Los Andes, and has taken professional courses in Social Communication at the Universidad de la Sabana. He also has a diploma in ICT management from the same university.
